This is Richard Simpkin and he has dedicated his life to meeting the worlds biggest celebrities and grabbing selfies with them.

It all started over 25 years ago when Richard got his first celebrity photo and since then he has posed next to the likes of Elton John, Audrey Hepburn and the Dalai Lama.

After the collection started to grow, Richard decided to turn the photos into a project which he aptly named Richardandfamous- which has since been shown at The Australian Centre for Photography in Sydney.

It was viewed by 4,200 people in 26 days making it one of the most popular galleries for that year.

Despite meeting a whole range of celebs Richard admits he no longer gets starstruck.

I guess the most interesting part of this whole thing is that I have no interest in celebrities; as a kid I did, but most kids do.

I spent so many years working on building my celebrity photo collection as I wanted to have an exhibition that no one had ever seen or done before and I think that I have achieved this.

I documented my life in photos for 25 consecutive years with some of the most famous and iconic people in the 20th and 21st century.

Take a look at some of the biggest names that hes met here:

Elton John, 1990
